New Exhibits in Rocky Mount

David and Dennis made a trip to Rocky Mount, NC to
see the new exhibits at the city's science center.
They had a brand new children's area!

David loved this quarter-moon rocking chair.

He was a little scared by the animal section's new fake (but roaring and moving) rhinosauraus.

But he soon realized it wasn't real -- then he just thought it was funny.
You can sort-of see it behind us in these next two pictures.

The Return Trip

Sunday morning and David is not happy to be leaving his grandparent's house.

Maybe breakfast at Panera Bread will brighten his mood...
It did. Forty-five minutes later he patiently waits for the Northbound train.Train #90 arrived in Charleston station at 10 AM.

Candy had two seats to herself for most of the trip.

David was being a little camera shy...
but Dad was able to get a quick photo anyway. David is watching one of his favorite DVDs on his portable player. How did parents ever survive without these things?

David the Helper

David was very helpful on this trip. Here he helps Poppa make breakfast:

Train Trip to Charleston

After Dennis finished teaching his Thursday classes we drove 35 miles to Wilson, NC to catch the 2:20 southbound train. Usually this train is an hour late getting into Wilson but on this day it was almost on time!
