Helping Daddy with his Work

Cool. Dad left his bookbag on a shelf that I could reach. This must have been his way of asking me to help him organize his papers. I'm always happy to help out.

N.C. Ferry Ride

We heard that North Carolina has the second most extensive Ferry system in the U.S. (after Washington). One of the ferries runs about 40 miles from Greenville. This weekend provided a great day for a boat ride.

Daytrip to Rocky Mount, NC

First was lunch at an old downtown diner popular with the locals.

And just like the olden days - no high chairs!

Next was a visit to Rocky Mount's children's museum.

David had a great time but we didn't do a good job of taking pictures.
Here he is operating the controls of a research submarine.

And here are Candy and David admiring crabs and fish native to North Carolina's waters.

Below are Candy and David waiting in the 90-degree heat for the south-bound Amtrak train. The train was 30 minutes behind schedule which they told us was much better than the usual 2-hour delay.

Here it comes..........
