Daddy-Son Day

Dennis and David spent the day together at the Marbles Children's Museum in Raleigh, while I had the day to myself. Needless to say, a good day was had by all!

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We went to the Briley Farm pumpkin patch today. It was cold and pretty damp. I argued it would keep the crowds down. It did. For good reason. I was cold, Dennis looked cold, but of course David couldn't be bothered by the cold. Not when there's a big, giant dirt pile.

A final few shots from our trip to MB

These pics were taken at the Myrtle Beach Children's Museum. David and I went there while Daddy lounged at the pool!

Happy Birthday, Dennis!

It's hard to tell who's having the birthday in these pictures!

David is starting to understand the concept of birthdays (and cake and presents!!) so he was very excited for Daddy's special day.

By the way, notice how lopsided the cake turned out. Must be the worst one I've ever done, but I couldn't fix it either, so it was what it was. Tasted "yummy" though. (That's a quote from the little redhead.)

My latest project

I'm working on a tree skirt for our Christmas tree. It should be a fun thing to work on in my spare time. The focal point of my overall design will be this nativity scene. Which way do you all prefer:
with or without the barnyard animals? I like the idea of them but I also feel like it's getting kind of crowded in there. Of course, I drew and cut those guys out too, so I have an emotional attachment that is skewing my opinion. Let me know what you think at cjbonse@hotmail.com

Keep in mind that there'll be stars in the sky and a little house around them.
